Bengals vs Jaguars Free NFL Betting Prediction, 8-28-2016
Jacksonville Jaguars host the Cincinnati Bengals in week 3 of the NFL preseason. Jacksonville was supposed to be an improved team in 2016 but so far they are 0-2 in the preseason after losing to the Bucaneers and New York Jets. Cincinnati has gone 1-1 in their first two preseason games losing their first game to the Minnesota Vikings and then beating the Lions in Detroit.
The Jaguars offense is averaging 17 points and 312 yards per game and they are -3 in turnover ratio. Jacksonville’s starting QB Blake Bortles has completed 14 of his 18 passes with two touchdowns while back up Chad Henne has completed 12 of 19 passes with two interceptions. Defensively Jacksonville is allowing 22 points and 330.5 yards per game with four sacks, a fumble recovery, and two interceptions. Under Head Coach Gus Bradly, you can expect this team to get better as the season goes on.
Cincinnati starting QB Andy Dalton has completed 11 of his 14 passes and backup QB A.J. McCarron has completed 21 of his 31 passes with two touchdowns. The Bengals defense is allowing 15.5 points and 311.5 yards with two sacks, a fumble recovery, and 3 INT’s.
Focusing on the Total, this game should be a defensive battle. The Bengals defense was stout last season and we fully expect the Jaguars to make some improvements in week 3 with starters getting more reps.
