ATS Experts Free Monday Night Football Betting Tip
The Vikings host the Giants for this week’s edition of Monday Night Football. Minnesota heads back home after an impressive win over the Carolina Panthers on the road, 22-10. New York lost to the desperate Redskins 29-27 at home.
New York let one slip away last week after leading the Redskins 21-9 in the 2nd quarter Eli Manning had two costly picks to go along with the 11 penalties for 128 yards. The loss was self inflicted and now they face one of the top defenses in the NFL.
Sam Bradford has stepped in and played extremely well after getting traded from the Eagles before the start of the season. Minnesota is off to a (3-0) start and they just beat the defending NFC Champions on their home turf, snapping Carolina’s 14 game home winning streak. The Vikings had just 13 first downs and 211 total yards. But they were totally dominant on the defensive side. They recorded eight sacks and picked off last year’s NFL MVP Cam Newton three times.
The Vikings are without RB Adrian Peterson and it has shown offensively. Minnesota is averaging a measly 51 yards per game rushing and they are 28th in passing yards per game with 265.3 YPG. On defense, they are allowing just 295 yards per game (6th) and 13.3 points per game (7th).
New York ranks 6th in offense averaging 396 YPG and 99 rushing YPG while the Vikings are 31st in the league averaging just 265 YPG. Minnesota will continue to struggle rushing the football with LT Matt Kalil and Andrian Peterson out. The Giants defense has improved from last season and they won’t have too worry about too many weapons on the offensive side of the ball for the Vikings. Look for this game to be a low scoring defensive battle.
